Terms and Conditions

Digbeth's Digs at the Cottage, Stow-on-the-Wold

1. Agreement

We assume that enquires either by Email, Telephone or in Writing are being made by individuals that are over 18 years of age and that you accept full responsibility for all payments due and for the consequences of any actions of all the persons who will use the Property during you stay at Digbeth’s Digs at the Cottage, High Street Stow on the Wold Gloucs.

2. Booking

The owners of the Cottage will confirm the booking in writing on receipt of 10% of the rental fee which is non-refundable should you cancel. Our rental week runs Friday to Friday.

Once the Deposit is received and cleared in the bank then an agreement exists between us on these terms and conditions.

The owners will accept a provisional booking and reserve the property providing the deposit is received within 7 working days. If however there are other interested parties for the same dates first come first served principles will apply and you will be advised that other parties are enquiring for similar dates.

If the stay at the Cottage is due to start within 8 weeks of the date of booking then the total rental fee is payable at the time of booking.

3. Payment Methods

We only accept Cheques, Bank Drafts, Wire Transfers or BACs made payable to “Digbeth’s Digs at the Cottage”.
We are unable at the present time to take credit or debit cards.

4. Final Payment

The balance of the holiday rental fee less any deposit but with the £100 damage bond will become due 8 weeks before the start date of the holiday. The owners of the Cottage will not send a reminder or a receipt unless you request this to take place. If the balance outstanding is not received on time then the Owners of the Cottage reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

5. Cancellations

You may cancel your booking at any time provided you do this in writing but you will remain liable for the full balance of the rental fee. The owners will seek to re-let the Cottage for all or part of the booking period and if successful will refund the money paid by you less an admin fee of £10.

The owners reserve the right to re-let at a discount or for a shorter period in which case will pay the refund or a proportion of it if the Cottage is let for a shorter period, less discount and administrative charge.

The owners do not operate any scheme of cancellation or travel insurance and therefore you are strongly advised to obtain you own insurance cover for the holiday.

The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking at any time in the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control, or if in the reasonable opinion of the Owners it is necessary to undertake essential works at the Cottage. In these unlikely circumstances we will endeavour to find another suitable alternative Cottage for the guest to rent. If this is not possible due to high season then a full money refund will be given. The Owners will not otherwise be liable for any loss incurred by you as a result of the cancellation.

5. Change of Booking

The owners will try to the best of their ability to transfer the dates of a booking should this be requested.

Such changes cannot be accepted within one month of the start date.

6. Occupation of the Property

The Cottage is not to be used for any purpose than a holiday.

The numbers of people staying at the property will not exceed 5.

The use of tents or sleeping in motor vehicles adjacent to the property is not permitted.

Guests must not use the Property for any activity or in such a way to cause nuisance or annoyance to neighbours.

You and your guests are asked to comply with any reasonable regulations relating to the Cottage or the area within which the Cottage is situated this will be communicated to you on your arrival at the Cottage.

The Owner reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate the hire or hand over the property to any person who, in the Owners opinion is not suitable to take charge. The rental amount shall not be refunded.

English law shall apply to all contractual obligations arising out of these General Conditions.
